With about 90.000 visitors and hundreds of millions all over the world watching on tv the „Concert for Europe“ is proving year for year that classical music still ranks among the most popular genres of music; moreover classical music acts a kind of language truly connecting people. Especially interpreted by the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, justly marked as one of world’s best orchestras.

Music does not know borders. Quite the contrary music connects people and brings them closer together. An attitude which is being put into effect in particular in the international capital of music, in Vienna. The best examples are Vienna’s annual unique music highlights: New Year’s Concert at Musikverein, opening of the Vienna International Festival in Rathausplatz, the „Concert for Europe“ in the garden of Schönbrunn Palace. Vienna as a global center of music demonstrates that music belongs to all the people.
