Vienna ranks as one of the most liveable cities world wide. International quality of life surveys see Vienna in the third place, within EU capital city rankings Vienna holds the first place. The main reason for this high-quality lifestyle in our city is Vienna’s cultural diversity – also an important economic factor from which many other sectors of economy are benefitting.  
 
With the „Concert for Europe“ Vienna demonstrates one more time its position as a capital of culture in the heart of a new Europe representing tolerance, cosmopolitanism and cultural diversity. As an ambassador in all parts of the world music is the international language to be understood everywhere and overcoming borders of every kind.    

So I am very delighted that the „Concert for Europe“ takes place this year already for the fourth time and I want to express my gratitude to the organiser for his personal engagement.
